TrueGlass is made by Teton Field Tech LLC ("we"). In short: your videos, photos and locations stay on your phone. TrueGlass doesn't require an account, and has no ads, no analytics and no tracking.
What stays on your phone
- The videos and photos you take, and the copies you trim or crop.
- Where each one was taken, the direction the camera faced, and any yardage you add on the map.
- Motion data used to stabilize your video.
- Your settings, the start date of your free trial, and how much of the free plan you've used today.
None of this is sent to us or anyone else. It stays on your device until you delete it in the app or delete the app.
Permissions
- Camera: to record through your scope or binoculars.
- Microphone (optional): to record sound with your videos.
- Motion: the gyroscope, to stabilize the picture.
- Location (while using the app): to tag each capture with where it was taken, using GPS on your phone.
- Photos (add only): to save videos and stills to your Photos library when you ask. TrueGlass can't see your other photos.
What leaves your phone
- Subscriptions. Apple handles payment; we never see your payment details. To check whether you subscribe, TrueGlass uses RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous ID created by the app, your purchase history with TrueGlass, and basic device and app information (such as your iOS and app version, country and IP address). See RevenueCat's privacy policy.
- An optional account. You can create a TrueGlass account with Sign in with Apple. Apple then shares your email address (or a private relay address, if you choose), which is stored with RevenueCat to tie any access you're given to your Apple ID. You don't need an account to use TrueGlass. You can delete it any time from Settings > Delete account.
- App settings. TrueGlass occasionally downloads a small settings file (for example, camera adjustments for your iPhone model) from our website. Like any website, its host sees your IP address and basic request details. Nothing about you is sent.
- Anything you share. When you save to Photos or share a video, it goes where you choose.
What we don't do
We don't sell or rent data, show ads, track you across apps or websites, or build a profile of you.
Children
TrueGlass isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
Your choices
- Delete any capture in the app, or delete the app to remove everything it stored.
- Turn permissions on or off in your iPhone's Settings.
- Manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID's subscription settings.
- Delete your account in Settings > Delete account, or email us to delete the subscription records RevenueCat holds for your app.
